No More Resident Evil Remakes in 2024, Capcom Has Something Else in Store
According to a prominent Resident Evil insider, Capcom won’t be releasing another remake in 2024. Instead, the game that is rumored to ‘sell millions’ and will be announced by the end of 2023 is a completely different title. Capcom itself confirmed this during a recent financial presentation.
A Look Back at the Previous Resident Evil Remakes
To date, Capcom has remade several Resident Evil games. The most recent addition was the highly successful Resident Evil 4 remake, which launched in March 2023 to widespread acclaim. Prior to that, there were the Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 2 remakes in 2020 and 2019, respectively. The original Resident Evil remake was released way back in 2002.
What’s Next?
Despite the momentum building around these remakes, a trusted Resident Evil insider reveals that there won’t be a remake in 2024. Instead, Capcom is expected to announce some other monumental title in the coming weeks. The betting odds are high that it will be a Monster Hunter game, but there’s also a possibility of an old, forgotten title making a comeback, like Dino Crisis.
