Title: Escape from Tarkov Returns Online with Major Update: Quieter Footsteps, Fixed Quests, and More
Battlestate Games took Escape from Tarkov offline this morning for the first time since the ‘wipe’ occurred on December 27, 2022. The game returned with a substantial update filled with requested fixes, changing the dynamics of several mechanics in this hardcore first-person shooter.
**Silent Snowy Landscapes:**
One of the most significant improvements for dedicated Tarkov players concerns the muted snowy environments. Battlestate Games has noticeably quieted down the crunchy, annoying footsteps when navigating through the snow-covered landscapes, enhancing the overall gaming experience.
**Major Update Changes:**
Here are some highlights of the changes Battlestate Games introduced in today’s update:
1. **Reduced Annoying Footsteps:** Players can now enjoy a more immersive gaming experience with the quieter snowy footstep sounds.
2. **Fixed Bugged Quests:** Battlestate Games tackled several problematic quests, ensuring smoother gameplay for its community.
3. **Adjusted Rogue Behaviour:** Rogues now behave differently, adding another layer of complexity to the game.
4. **Color Correction on Interchange:** Players will notice a more visually appealing Interchange map with color correction applied.
5. **Increased Scav Spawn Points:** To balance the game further, Battlestate Games increased the spawn points for Scavs on Ground Zero.
**Additional Changes:**
Despite player expectations, this update did not remove the snow that has blanketed all maps except for Labs and Factory since early January. Nevertheless, these changes represent considerable progress towards addressing community concerns that have emerged over the past three and a half weeks.
