“The team at Avalanche set out to create an engaging and immersive Harry Potter experience, and I believe that’s why it resonated so well with players worldwide,” he continued.

“Despite the game’s success, it did not receive any major post-release awards,” the article noted.
Sales Milestones for Hogwarts Legacy
First introduced on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in February 2023, Hogwarts Legacy sold over 12 million copies within its first two weeks. Subsequently, the game was launched on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
Record-Breaking Sales in the Gaming Industry
“It’s remarkable that a new IP, such as Hogwarts Legacy, has managed to reach the top ranks in the gaming industry, typically held by established sequels,” Haddad stated.
