Unlike many open-world games, fast travel is not easily accessible in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Itsuno explained that using the feature comes at a cost, leading players to be mindful of their usage. In comparison, games like Starfield, which was released in September, offer extensive fast travel options that almost diminish the significance of exploration itself.

Even when players do opt for fast travel in Dragon’s Dogma 2, they might not have a smooth journey. Similar to Kingdom Come: Deliverance, enemies can ambush players during their travels, requiring them to engage in combat before they can continue on their way. This adds a layer of excitement and risk to the otherwise convenient fast travel option.
