Summer Game Fest 2024: A New Gaming Tradition Announces Live Stream Date and Platforms

Geoff Keighley announced on Twitter that Summer Game Fest 2024 will stream live on June 7th from the YouTube Theater in Los Angeles.

Event Details: The show will begin at 2 PM Pacific Time and fans can catch the showcase across multiple platforms, including YouTube and Twitch. Public tickets will be available for purchase starting on May 7th at 9 AM Pacific Time.

New Video Game Announcements: The Summer Game Fest will feature new video keyboards announcements, first-looks, and trailers. Other livestreams and events might be added but have not been confirmed.

New Gaming Tradition: The Summer Game Fest replaces the E3 event, with the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) stating that it has officially closed down E3.

Possible Return: The ESA is evaluating every aspect of the event, including format and location, suggesting a possible return for E3 in the future.

Event Cancellation: Despite The Game Awards 2023, Geoff Keighley mentioned that E3 “sort of killed itself in a way”. However, this did not stop him from following the event.
