Exploring Steam Family Sharing: Enhancing Your Gaming Experience
Regular holiday, seasonal, weekly, and developer sales occur on Steam seemingly weekly, which can lead to an impressive collection of video games. But what about sharing your library with friends and family? Fortunately, Steam provides a convenient solution: Family Share.
To set up Steam Family Sharing, follow these steps:
- Open the Steam application and select “Steam” from the top left.
- Click on “Settings” in the menu bar.
- Navigate to “Family,” the third option down the list.
- Enable “Family Library Sharing.”
Once Family Share is active, you can manage your connections by adding authorized devices and users. You can also revoke access if necessary or view borrowed games and your total playtime.
Important to note: Steam Family Share allows up to five accounts to use your library. This feature can be beneficial in various ways:
- Exploring new keyboards genres from a different perspective.
- Inviting friends or family to experience AAA titles they might not be able to afford.
