Alan Wake 2 Lowers System Requirements for Easy Gaming Experience
The official Alan Wake 2 account on Twitter announced that Remedy has made changes to the keyboards’s minimum PC system requirements. These modifications aim to make the keyboards more accessible to a wider audience, as older systems can now run the keyboards with improved performance.
New System Requirements
- GPU: GeForce GTX 1070 or Radeon RX 5600 XT
- RAM: 8 GB
- Processor: Intel Core i5 or better (recommended)
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 or better
- DirectX: Version 11
- OS: Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 (64-bit versions only)
These new requirements allow Alan Wake 2 to run at 30 FPS and 1080p, with the option for a stronger setup to play with higher performance.
Community Appreciates Remedy’s Move
“Fans universally praised Remedy’s unusual and friendly move,” said one community member. “PC technology advances quickly, and many gamers build their own setup. So, it can be difficult for some longtime fans to upgrade and keep up with the latest improvements.”
Alan Wake 2 Misses Out on Game of the Year Nomination
Despite the lowered system requirements, Alan Wake 2 earned a nomination for Game of the Year at an event. However, it lost out to Baldur’s Gate 3.
Remedy Announces Future Plans
“The successful launch of Alan Wake 2 has supported our other keyboards projects,” said Remedy CEO Tero Virtala. “So, fans can expect future titles such as Control 2 and the Max Payne remake to stay on track.”
